Vicki Sopher Obituary
Grinnell - Vicki Lee Sopher, 68, of Grinnell, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Mayflower Health Care Center South Village.
A gathering to celebrate Vicki's life will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Carman Center of the Mayflower Community.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Grinnell Regional Hospice or Mayflower Community Human Needs Fund.
Vicki is survived by her sisters, Janis Peak, Kim (Bob) Wemer and brothers, Rene (Sharon) Sopher, Bruce (Nancy) Sopher and Barry (Merih) Sopher; her last living uncle, Maury Hunter; first cousins, Bob Spurgin, Ann Rains, Craig Hunter and Karen Ellison; nieces and nephews, David Sopher, Sara Peak Convery, Cyd Peak, Lauren Greenberg Sutter, Hannah Sopher, Harry Sopher, Revan Sopher and Ashton Sopher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William R. and Clio Hunter Sopher; brothers-in-law, Rob Greenberg and Ed Peak and a first cousin, Scotty Hunter.

Janis, Kim and family, I was shocked to see that Vicki passed away today. I did not understand that the end was so near when Jan and I talked this weekend. My God give you strength through the next trying days and months. It was good that she returned to Grinnell to be near her sisters.

Sad to hear of Vicki's passing. Many fond memories of her visits to our home in Round Lake Beach, or as she called it Oblong Lake. She loved watching the cats and dog. I remember several Christmas seasons she spent here with Penny, David and I. Penny passed in 2014, so I'm sure she and Vicki will meet in the hereafter and catch up with each other.
