I worked with Vic over the Summers of 1982-1983 while attending the University of Iowa. A true gentleman and great boss. He had great composure. Never saw him lose his temper even when it was warranted. Always maintained his cool and was respectful of others given their young age. Bought three Pear trees from Vic last Fall and was really impressed about the trees he picked out for me. Vic was all about keeping nature robust. All were great specimens. Blooming this Spring. RIP Vic. My condolences to all.
