Wayne E. Ogburn, 79, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center.

Wayne was born April 2, 1936 in Des Moines to Millard and Ada (Rash) Ogburn. He retired in 1994 from Heartland Equipment Repair where he had been a mechanic for many years. Wayne was a member of Avon Community Church in Carlisle.

Wayne is survived by his siblings, Betty (Paul) O'Connor, Barbara Fastnacht; Nana Ogburn Smith and Jimmy Ogburn, Sr.; nieces and nephews, Cathy, Dave, Laurie, Bill, Danny, Paula, Pam, Chris, John, Kim, Billie and Jimmy; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Harold and Bobby.

Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Glendale Cemetery. Please meet at the Glendale Cemetery entrance at 11:45 a.m. to follow in procession to the graveside.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Avon Community Church.
