Died suddenly in a tragic accident on January 2, 2021. David, Michele, and Dawson are survived by Janet Compo, Carole Smith, Christopher (Lisa) Compo, Paul (Annette) Compo, Mark Compo, Margaret (Jerry) Szpak, Paul Pilat, Cheryl (Jim) Andrews, and many cherished family members and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Drive, Northville. Due to the current restrictions, there is limited seating inside the church and gymnasium, please register through the sign up genius link found in the full obituaries at www.casterlinefuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers please donate to a chosen charity listed in the full obituaries. The family deeply appreciates your kind words, thoughts, and prayers.

They were truly a beautiful family. If they could tell us one thing now that they're in eternity, it would be a message of salvation. To believe on the Lord Jesus, the only way to heaven. Not church, not Mary, not tradition. But Jesus alone. "There is salvation in no one else. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). None of us are promised tomorrow.

David's Dad & Mom Jim and Janet were high school close friends. I was best man at Jim & Janet's wedding. I met David and Micheal at Jim & Janet's 50th wedding Anniversary party. and most of the family.
I haven't been able to contact Janet in several years. Hope she reads this and contacts me.
My condolences to Janet and all the Compo family, such a tragedy. I know David was an excellent pilot and this mishap was completely un-contemplated.
Rest well - - - David, Michele and Dawson. you-all and Jim are together.

Janet, Chris, Lisa, Chris and Spencer, I wish there were words of comfort I could give you right now. The years of memories, love and respect my husband Spencer felt toward all of you endured me to you.

David, Michelle, and Dawson were the nicest family! We were in Catholic classes with them back in 2011 and Dave's humor made our entire class laugh at a time when we were all a bit nervous and getting to know one another. Their smiles and personalities were so kind and sincere; Michelle was a sweet lady and their son was adorable. No matter when we ran into Dave, he could make us giggle every time:) They truly added a light to the rooms they were in and we will miss them. God Bless, The McLeods

David, Michelle and Dawson were a great family. We shared many overnight Scouting experiences with them as our Sons attained Eagle Rank. We will truly miss them, as they will be in our Community’s hearts forever.
