EDWARD SCHROEDER Obituary

83, of Caseville, formerly of St. Clair Shores, died April 3, 2009 in Bad Axe. Ed was born April 21, 1925 in Warren to the late Edward and Josephine Schroeder. He was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II. On August 27, 1954 he married Audrey Elliott in Angola, Indiana. Together they raised their family in St. Clair Shores. Ed was employed at Reif Carbide in Warren as a carbide tool grinder. In 1986 he retired and four years later moved permanently to Caseville. He was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He was a former member of the Caseville Eagles and Caseville Golf Course. He enjoyed all sports, especially Tigers baseball. For many years he enjoyed spending the winter in Florida. Surviving are his wife Audrey; daughters Lynn (Chuck) Galvin of Shelby Township and Lori (Bob) Fulgenzi of Eastpointe; grandchildren Erin (Ryan) Hitsman, Charlie Galvin, Robbie, and Matthew Fulgenzi; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Dolores Holmes. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Caseville with Rev. David Putz officiating. Visitation will be noon to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville (989-856-3662) and from 10 a.m. Monday until time of the service at church. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
