Dear Cynthia and family. I want to thank Jim for his incredible friendship he so willingly shared with my son, Kurt Loewe. They shared so many reenactments together, but the friendship went much deeper than that. Kurt and Jim spent many hours just talking and being there for each other.

I will miss Jim. He was a good friend. We shared similar collecting and historical interests, and we used to bust on each other a bit. Jim usually won those contests. The one time that stands out is on the Khakiclub's second trip to the Border in NM. Jim had a complete 1910 Infantry pattern shelter tent and totally surprised me with it. For those that don't know, these are ultra rare and he knew that I had been seeking one for ages. The whole gang had a good laugh at that. God bless you,Jim. Lest we forget. Pete
