JAMES NETTE Obituary

Age 65 passed away July 6,2006. Born in Detroit, September 12, 1940. Graduate of Redford High School class of 1958. Received his BS in engineering in 1963 from the University of Michigan, and in 1969 he earned his MBA. Member and President in 1961 of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Worked for 28 years for Michigan Bell Telephone Co., retiring in 1991 as assistant Vice President. Former member of the engineering society of Detroit. Former trustee of the Detroit Science Center. Lived in Northville, MI from 1981-1999, then to Traverse City, MI from 1999-2006. Wintered in Naples, FL since 1996. Member of the Traverse City Economic Club. Mr. Nette was a registered Professional Engineer along with being a Certified Financial Planner. He enjoyed boating on the Great Lakes, reading, and financial planning for his family. Survived by his loving wife Carol, son David (Jennifer) and grandson Tyler. Also survived by his sister Marjorie (Lawrence) Gorton and by cousins Nancy and Pete Russ, and by his little Yorkie, Amy Sue. Memorial service will be held Monday 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church 1589 West Maple Rd, Birmingham, MI.
