JOSEPH SR. April 7, 2017. Age 94. Beloved husband of the late Virginia "Gini" Piersante. Cherished father of Joe (Diane), Debbie (Steve) Hubbell and Denise Piersante. Proud and adored grandfather of five and great-grandfather of four. Joe was a WWII Vet and landed on D-Day, he received a purple heart and silver star. Visitation Monday 3-9pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons Inc., 36900 Schoenherr Rd at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). In state Tuesday 9 a.m. until time of 10 a.m. Funeral Service at St. Luke Lutheran Church 21400 S. Nunneley (Btw. Gratiot & Groesbeck). Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Salvation Army. Joe had a way of telling a story that made you feel like you were reliving that very moment with him. You just enjoyed being around him because he was so full of life. I am thankful for those times I shared with Joe and his family.
