META FITZGERALD Obituary

Age 92, died March 19, 2004 at Waltonwood Assisted Living in Royal Oak. Meta was born October 12, 1911, in Hebron, North Dakota. She spent her early years in Roseville, Michigan where she met her husband, Lincoln Fitzgerald. They moved to Reno, Nevada in 1945, where they own and operated the Nevada Club, the Fitzgerald Hotel and Casino and the Nevada Lodge at Lake Tahoe. In 1999, Meta returned to Michigan to be close to her family and resided at Waltonwood Assisted Living. Meta is survived by her brother, Arthur (Joan) Konarske of Venice, Flordia, 18 nieces and nephews and 31 grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lincoln, sister, Katherine Wallace and brothers, Carlton, Ralph, Robert, Wallace, Walter and James Konarske. A memorial service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (Between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Sunday, March 28, at 12 p.m. Meta will be cremated and her ashes interred with her husband in the mausoleum at Mountain View Cemetery in Reno, Nevada.

I worked for Mrs Fitzgerald at Fitzgeralds in Reno, Nevada. Meta, came in every morning, to count the tables. Meta, was the nicest lady to work for, always happy and a smile on her face!!
