MICHAEL TOLAN

TOLAN MICHAEL Veteran stage and screen actor, MICHAEL TOLAN, has died at age 85 in Hudson, New York, after a courageous battle with multiple illnesses. Born Seymour Tuchow in Detroit, Michigan, November 27, 1925, he was a graduate of Central High School and Wayne State University, Class of 1947. While at Wayne in the 1940's Tolan's deep sonorous voice was heard originating live from Detroit on Radio Station WXYZ in "THE LONE RANGER" and "THE GREEN HORNET" shows. After graduation he debuted in the film, THE ENFORCER, with Humphrey Bogart and his memorable career spanned radio, theater, movies, television as well as live poetry readings. He is survived by his companion Donna Peck of Copake, New York, his daughters, Alexandra, Jenny and Emily Tolan, and his brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Marilyn Tuchow of Bloomfield, Michigan. A memorial service and celebration of THE LIFE OF MICHAEL TOLAN will be held in Detroit at a later date to be announced.
