Samuel Spiteri Obituary
Ann Arbor - Samuel William Spiteri, 69, passed away September 25, 2018.
Beloved husband of Kayoko; father of Osamu, Junko and Nami; grandfather of Mona; son of Viva and the late Sam, Sr. and brother of Deborah (Guse).
Sam was a graduate of Riverview High and U of M. He lived and worked in Japan from 1970-1991, leaving a mark as a top-notch teacher and translator. World-famous as an amateur HAM radio operator, station K8NOS, he was loved by many.

Dear Sam,
You helped a lot foreigners get English teaching positions in the Kansai area of Japan including my wife, Beniko and myself. I am grateful for your kindness. We also enjoy your Thanksgiving parties at you home in Ikoma. Very enjoyable. You were a very interesting person and your stories are still told by the old timers in our area of Japan.
