SUSAN MASLEN

Age 44. Susan passed on June 15, 2007 after fighting cancer since 1994. She never let the disease control her life or get her down. Her volunteer work with Y-Me Breast Cancer Hotline and other organizations related to cancer patients helped many people. While in the hospital for treatment of her disease she helped others going through treatment. She competed in 9 triathlons and was an athlete competing in the Athletic Competition for Cancer Survivors. In addition, when not involved with Cancer Survivors organizations, she loved playing with her two dogs, Ellie and Mamie and doing crossword puzzles. Susan is survived by her loving husband, Stephen, and her mother, Pearl Braverman. She is also survived by Marc (Martha) and Alan Braverman, brothers. A Memorial Service was held at Congregation Kol Ami in Chicago, Illinois.
