SUZANNE WILKINSON Obituary

Loving wife of Lawrence Scripps Wilkinson and devoted mother of Elizabeth Higgins Stark. Passed away unexpectedly at St. John Hospital, Detroit, Michigan on Thursday, September 18, 2008. She was born in Detroit, MI and received Batchelor Of Arts Degrees from the University Of Miami, FL and the University of Paris at Sorbonne, France. Following that, Suzanne traveled independently and with her grandparents around the world, living in Lisbon, Portugal and London, England for significant periods of time. In 1988, after residency in Miami, FL where she brought up her daughter, Elizabeth, she met and married Larry Wilkinson of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI and Miami. Her greatest passion was international travel throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America with Larry and Elizabeth. Suzanne was very actively involved socially in Miami, serving on The Surf Club Debutante Committee and other Surf Club social committees. She also enjoyed happy times with her friends at Indian Creek Country Club in Miami, the Country Club of Detroit, and the Grosse Pointe Club in Michigan. Among her survivors are her husband of 20 years, Larry, her daughter Elizabeth, grandson William, and her brother Herbert Harper of Canyon Lake, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to U.S. Fund for UNICEF, 125 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038 or to the donor's choice. Memorial Services to be held at a later date in Miami, FL.
