I remember Vic and his father Tony when I was going to Patronage of St. Joseph School, all 12 years, We would stop for apples for our lunch. Vic use to stand on the outside of the store and talk to us,missed those days. Very nice family and grocers to deal with. Also followed them to their other stores. I hope the sons carry on the friendly tradition.

So very sorry for your loss. Ill remember him with great fondness. I just found out last evening. He has left an impression on me since I was a child. his humor with my dad was legendary. After he passed, he started giving me the "special Vic treatment ". I guess he had to pass this on to someone :) I will miss this dearly. Our sincere condolences, Mark Mallia and family.

I'll really miss Vic and his ways of making every person he meets/see's as the most important person in the room to him. Mostly, I'll miss the Puma colored pants (sorry I had to influence him) that kept me giggling every time he wore them. God Bless you Mr. V. It was my sincere pleasure to have had you in my life. I'll miss you dearly.

To the Family, I am so so sorry for the loss. I'll never forget him and his spirit will linger with me and I'm sure everyone else that had the pleasure of meeting him or being harassed (all in fun of course) by him.

RIP

Dear Tony, Gail and all the Ventimiglia family,

With sorrow I learned of Victor's passing and wish to send the condolences of myself, my husband and family. Victor was a part of my growing years in the Cacalupo neighborhood of Detroit. My fondest childhood memories are of Victor, his dad, Mr. Tony, Babe and Andy Vermiglio and the store which was across the street from my home. Victor was always kind, friendly, happy as was his dad. He passed these qualities onto his children and grandchildren. This is what made the family a success....not the monetary....the personal. Thanks to you all for the memories. Your father and mother deserve their special place in heaven. With affection, Daniela Mucha (O'Connor) and family. Chicago, IL

Sam, Tony, Vic and Ann Marie,
We remember your father from the 8 mile store in the 70's. He always had a joke or was quick to say something that would make you laugh. What a great family he raised, our thoughts and prayer are with all of you at this time.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Vic 7 years ago when I became his neighbor in Florida. My now 12 year old son met Vic first as they shared ice cream on his patio and became fast buds. Victor will be truly missed. I hope he is with his beloved wife now and at peace. Sending love and prayers to his beautiful family.

Dear Ventimiglia Family,
Vic's death brings to mind an inscription from a headstone in Ashby, Massachusetts:
"Remember, Friends, As You Pass By
As You Are Now, So Once Was I.
As I Am Now, So You Must Be.
Prepare Yourself To Follow Me."
My deepest sympathy for your loss.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Vic is one of a kind and I am blessed to have known him.

August 8, 2018

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family. We'll always be grateful to the Genitti family for introducing us to the east side cousins. Vic and Babe can now resume their bickering love affair as brothers and sisters always do.
