A. Cruey Obituary

Paul Cruey, 78, retired from the Peyton Packing Company of El Paso after 34 years of service, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at a Fort Worth hospice.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 700 McPherson Road, Pastor Ron Liles officiating. Burial: Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Cruey's eight grandsons: Robert Hassell, Richard Yeoman, Stephen and Mark Cruey, Daniel Paul and Aaron Wright and Joshua and Jeremy Cruey.

Paul Cruey was born April 24, 1924, to Purley and Daisy Cruey in Mount Valley, Ark. He was a World War II veteran and received the Bronze Star and a presidential citation for his service in the 44th Infantry Division. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Calvary Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helen Cruey. Members of the Cruey family extend their sincere thanks to staff members of Community Hospice of Texas for their tender, loving care of our beloved Paul.

Survivors: His wife of 56 years, Rebecca; their children, Laura J. Yeoman and husband, Charles, of Silver City, N.M., Robert P. Cruey and wife, Jan, of CLeburne, Carol Fallin and husband, Steve, of Houston, David W. Cruey and wife, Majorie, of Cypress; brother, Clarence Cruey of Burleson; and sister, Eva Jean Laudensuck of Las Vegas, Nev.
