Abe Garrett Obituary
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Greater Mount Tabor Christian Center, 2513 S. Edgewood Terrace, the Rev. Bowman, officiating. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: You may visit Abe noon to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the family present 7 to 8 p.m.
Survivors: Children, Annie Garrett, Gladys Harper, Ophelia Harkey, Mary Douglas, Mattie Pearl Carter, Francis Thomas and her husband, Aubery, and Clara Anderson; 180 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

God granted you long life, and that speaks for itself. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing you, but your works are manifested in the life of your children and grandchildren. Thank God I was blessed with the privilige of knowing James and his mother Mary who welcomed me with such geniune warmness and love. To the family: I know it shall be difficult at first, but remember God is ever with you. We all must travel that same road, so be ready when your time comes. We all shall meet on that beautiful shore, never to part again. My love and prayers is ever with you all. God Bless.
