Alfred McBride Obituary

Alfred Tennison McBride, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road. Visitation: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday prior to the graveside. He was born September 9, 1937, and he lived a full and wonderful life, most of it with his wife, Elvia, of 55 years. They traveled to many places while he was in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years with their three children. They continued their travels even after his retirement in 1977. He was born in a coal mining town, among 16 brothers and sisters, in Crumpler, W.Va. He Moved to Fort Worth in 1960, when he married his wife. He enjoyed local and deep-sea fishing, westerns and gardening. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Elvia; their three children, Cynthia, Devalia and Timothy; his brothers, Richard and Paul; and his sisters; Phoebe, Patty, Jeannette, Bonnie and Marie.
