In '69, our family was blessed with the addition of the most wonderful lady, Aunt Anna. She was, in every way, the kind of person we all want to be and I feel blessed to have known her. I know that she will be missed, but also know that her sweet voice will be heard, often, in the home of my parents(Nell and Leon Maxwell)and the stories we share of her and Uncle Jimmie will continue to be passed on to each new member of our family. I look forward to singing in that heavenly choir with both she and Uncle Jimmie. Their love and devotion to God and family has inspired many and the memories will sustain us until we meet again. God will comfort you in your loss and perhaps, soon, I will meet the rest of the family.
Skip, Lois, Vicki, Jerrel and all the grandchildren.........
Your lives are richer for having had such wonderful Christian parents.
Sincerely,
Billy Slimp

Dear Friends,
Our hearts are heavey for the loss of Sister Anna. I saw her sing many times along with the Gov. Davis
They were fine people. I had the honor of talking with them many times at The Grand Ole Gospel Reunion in S.C. Being a long time follower of the Chuck Wagon Gang and playing their Music on radio for over 14 years I regret to hear that Anna is gone. I know she is in a better place and my prayers are with you and your family.
We just had Shaye and the 3rd generation of the Chuck wagon Gang in Lakepark, Ga. just a month ago and Shaye is her grandmother's pride. I want to say to all the family to Lean on the Lord and sister Anna's voice will live on
thanks to her grandaughter and recordings left behind. My radio listeners send their prayers during this time of Loss too. My listeners on WTHV-810 AM LOVE THE CHUCK WAGON GANG and they Love You!
God Bless Everyone of You,
Love and Prayers,
Bro. Ken Williams

We have loved the Chuck Wagon Gang's music for many, many years and regret the passing of each member. My mother worked with Rose at General Dynamics as well enjoyed the gospel music. We will miss Anna's beautiful alto...even though the brother told her "mellow" means "almost rotten" (in jest, we know).

Dear Vicki & Family -
I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Anna. She and Uncle Jimmie were so musically talented, and I know they are continually praising the Lord together again.
Please accept my sympathies, love and prayers for your loss ... thanksgiving for Anna's life and legacy ... and my regrets for being unable to attend the services in person on Tuesday, March 9th. I have sent a floral contribution to the funeral chapel as my sympathy expressions. I included red because Aunt Anna was truly a rose for all of us.
I loved Aunt Anna, and she will be missed.
When my grandfather Henry (Jimmie's brother) died in September 1998, Anna was so gracious to sit by me and hold my hand during Henry's funeral services.
May God comfort you and sustain you in the days ahead.
Love,
