Arbon was born on a farm in Tarrant County in 1922 and graduated from Carter Riverside High School in 1941. He served with the 51st Fighter Squadron in World War II as the crew chief for a P-38 Lightning stationed in Panama. During a return trip to Fort Worth, he married his sweetheart, Charline Pyles. After the war, they settled in Riverside and he began a career in Fort Worth as a new car salesman for Chevrolet. He first worked for Southwest Chevrolet, then Ernest Allen and finally Bruce Lowrie. He mostly enjoyed being with his family, especially when fishing, hunting, shooting pool, working on the family's '57 Chevy or spending special days together, which we will do again when our Lord Jesus returns.
Survivors: Wife of 63 years, Charline; son, Russell and wife, Deborah; grandchildren, Colby and wife, Denise, Kelly and Candace; and great-granddaughter, Lauren.
