Arthur Kirby Obituary

Ft Worth , Texas - Arthur Boyd Kirby Jr. passed away from this life on July 12, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 93.
He was born Saturday, January 12, 1929, to Arthur & Edna Rundell Kirby, in Wichita Falls, Texas. The family later moved to Dallas where Arthur played Football for Highland Park High School. After graduating from the University of Texas, he received a commission in the U. S. Marine Corps and served during the Koren War. When discharged from the Marines, Arthur returned to Fort Worth and joined his dad in starting the Arthur Kirby Insurance Agency, which later became one of the largest independent Agencies in Tarrant County.
On June 17, 1956, Arthur married Loretta "Ginger" Baer. They have been married for 66 years. Arthur is survived by his wife Ginger; Daughter Karen Easter, and her husband Bob; Sons Arthur Glen; John, and his wife Elise; Scott, and his wife Nancy. Other survivors include Grandchildren Kristin Easter, Joshua Kirby, Clare Kirby, Trent Kirby, and A J Rotonen; Nephews Kirby Jefferson; Russ Jefferson; Neice Kim Jefferson; and four Great Grandchildren.
A private family service will be held.

So many fond memories growing up bird hunting in west Texas with my father and Mr. Kirby. The friendship they had was pure gold. I will always cherish the time I got to spend with them.

Arthur was my role model for giving a warm welcome and he could have a lively conversation with anyone. Generous, fun-loving and inquisitive, he created opportunities for us all to enjoy many adventures, particularly in boats!
My heart goes out to all of the family and I am praying for solace in the emptiness he has left behind. I believe he is enjoying paradise with his Savior, Jesus.
