Denver, Colorado - Barbara Ann Brooks Aviles, age 80, died in Denver, Colorado on November 21, 2023. Barbara was born in Ft. Worth Texas on August 23, 1943. She graduated from R. L. Paschal High School in Ft. Worth, Texas and went on to attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising in 1966. She then moved to Houston where she lived until she moved to Silverthorne, Colorado in 2016. A Memorial Service and 'Celebration of Life' for Barbara will be held on January 20, 2024 at The Clayton Members Club from 2-5pm in Denver, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Barbara's name to Texas Children's Hospital: www.texaschildrens.org (click on Donate in upper right corner).

Rachelle - sending heartfelt sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your precious mother.
Barbara was the first female mentor in my work life (Jan. 1980) and made a huge impact as a role model while working side by side with her at DDI.
Enjoyed her lively personality, intellect, wit and great sense of humor.
She inspired me to be stronger and more courageous in my career path -- and will be greatly missed by so many who knew and loved her.
