Austin, Texas - Benjamin Brewer, 71, passed away Jan. 3, 2023.
Graveside: 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at Greenwood Memorial Park, with Father Tim Thompson officiating. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday Jan. 19, 2023, at Greenwood.
At the request of Ben, please wear casual attire as we celebrate his wonderful life.
Ben was a hardworking, caring, loving, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He had a love for all things Longhorn and his family ensured he always had something to talk about and he never met a stranger.
Ben was born in Coleman and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He met the love of his life, Pamela in Fort Worth. It was a romance that lasted 40 years and survived many hardships thrown their way. They married in 1982 in Michigan, his heart was always back in Texas so within just a few months they moved home and never looked back. Together they had three wonderful children and four beautiful grandchildren who loved grandpa dearly.
Ben enjoyed "dad jokes" and storytelling, and always had the cutest smirk. He also had a great love of history and horses. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ben will be dearly missed by all who met and knew him. He lived his life to the fullest, by loving horses, and Texas Longhorn Football and Baseball.
Ben is survived by his wife, Pamela; daughter, Stephanie (Lorenzo Morales); son, Benjamin (Yvonne Brewer) and grandchildren, Sarai, Keira and Noah; and sister, Debra (Rodney Apodaca).
Ben was preceded in death by his son, Eric Brewer; father, Aubrey Brewer; brother, Chris Brewer; mother, Marie Yeo; and granddaughter, Ava Brewer.
The family would like to thank everyone from Trinity and Beacon Hospice in Austin, Texas, a very special thank you to Chad Noyes his hospice nurse who has become a great friend and part of the family.
