Jim and Sammie: My family goes way back with "Smitty," [before called B]. My uncle, Robert E. Lee, coached Smitty in basketball when she was 15. She was the most gracious, sweetest, and honest person I have ever known. My family was blessed to have had her in our lives. She was my dearest friend; more of a sister than my own. Thank you for taking care of her.
For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 2 Corinthians 1:5
May God's love guide you during this time of sorrow, and may you find solace in His care.
Blessings and Love, Mary

To the family of Bernice Schmidt,
I wanted to extend my sympathy to you with the loss of Bernice. She and Eva were our next door neighbors on Woodvale Rd. in Lake Worth. I lived there with my parents. Daddy built our house there in 1947 and we moved away from Lake Worth in 1963. My Mother died of cancer in 1963 and Bernice and Eva helped out so much during Mother's illness.
