Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday at Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials: Salvation Army.
Billy was born Oct. 26, 1934, in Hereford. He graduated from high school in Gravette, Ark. Chief Burks was a graduate of the dental, dental prosthetics and advanced prosthetics schools in the Navy.
Survivors: Wife, Margaret; sons, Scotty Burks of Burleson and Billy W. Burks Jr. of Venus; daughters, Karen Franks and MaDora Ratliff, both of Arlington; sister, Trudy Goleman of Hillsboro; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
