Billy Swart Obituary

Billy Joe Swart, 85, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2012. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday in Bluebonnet Hllls Memorial Park, with the Rev. Mary Lou Dillon officiating, assisted by Mike Hartsell. Resurrection celebration: Noon Saturday at United Memorial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1401 N. Main, Euless. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Billy was born Aug. 28, 1926, in Fort Worth to Buford Clyde and Alma Wilson Swart, who preceded him in death. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1943 until 1945. He was retired after 33 years of faithful service with GM. Billy was preceded in death by his first wife, Billie. Survivors: Wife of 16 years, Fay; children, Lynda Hartsell, Darla Driskill, Richard Swart, Brian Swart, Leslie Gamel, Anna Portell, Nancy James and Kate Gamel; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many friends and extended family members.
