Rio Vista, Texas - Graveside service for Brenda Hall Runnels, 74, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, June 19, 2023 at the funeral home.
Brenda passed away Monday, June 12, 2023, in Rio Vista. She was born November 4, 1948, in Cleburne to Isaac Mason and Lottie Evelyn Boone Runnels but raised in Rio Vista. She married Howard "Butch" Hall, Jr., on July 7, 1977 in Fort Worth. Brenda moved to Fort Worth in her 20's where she achieved her master electricians license. She and her husband Butch started Hall Electric from which they retired. Brenda was a hardworking, accountable, individual who cared about her community. She was a former city councilwoman in Rio Vista for 6 years. Brenda's pride and joy was her grandson Izak. She was a firecracker to those that knew her. She didn't care one way or the other if you liked her or not. Brenda campaigned for many years to be able to open Rio Vista Liquor and once she achieved that goal, she handed it over to her daughter Wendi. Brenda was loved by so many. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Butch Hall; daughter, Wendi Hall and fiancé, Tommy Hewitt; grandson, Izak Ramirez and wife, Bree; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Bill Robinson; brother, Delphus Runnels; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Mason and Lottie Runnels and brother, Ronny Runnels.
