Emmanuel, God is with each one of you because His Word is truth and cannot lie. I pray His Holy Spirit, Spirit of comfort enbrace, hold and heal each one of you through the power and presence of God's love. Give Him your anger, pain, confusion, surrender to Him, and let Him heal your hearts and souls. The Lord is faithful and true and He will heal you and be with you always. Rest in His arms. Christ's pure love will carry you through because God will never fail you.

My heart breaks for y'all daily. I lift y'all up in prayer all day and night. I haven't slept this week...I can only imagine the shock, heartache, and pain. I mourn Brian's death also in that he has touched my life in the last 15 years I have known y'all. I will continue to pray for you and the kids. Hold to Jesus, He's holding tight to you...I am so impressed by the kids' maturity through this. They are really great kids, and examples to all. Love y'all. Beth

Shaunna & Family,

The news of your loss made me sick to my stomach. It's not fair loosing such an amazing joyful and God-fearing young man so suddenly. I have been lifting you up in prayer day & night. BJ was the big brother I never had amongst the other boys. I looked up to them as a child. My love for dance even came from watching BJ and him taking the time to show me some moves and encouraging me. Community like that is rare. Even at a young age he left a wake on the community. You will see Brian everywhere. You see a piece of him in you, in your children and in all that got the privilege to do life with him. People will continue to come to Christ even after his passing. I believe that! Embrace the pain, hold to each other and let Jesus grieve within you and your soul. Know we grieve with you. The truth is that you are in good hands! You are family & we love you greatly. May God bring peace, comfort, and healing that only comes from Him.

It has been many years since your family lived next door on Smith St. I can still picture your kids playing, you watering and tending to the yard and Brian always smiling and waving. I am so very sorry for you loss. Please know that teaching while you are here and leaving a legacy when you are gone is what we strive to do. Brian's life was cut short, but he left a legacy that will go on for a very long time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Brian is not only your loss, but a great loss to the community, as well. God's purpose for Brian on this earth must be done. However, through his time here, so many have been influenced and possibly led to God. Our world, as we know it, is a better place because of Brian.

A major piece of your life puzzle is missing, but with God as your center, you WILL get through it. Our continued prayers are with you at this time of great loss.

Shaunna and family,
It has been quite a few years since I've been in town and the tragic news absolutely broke my heart as well as others. Through the years I have spent knowing BJ we have shared many wonderful times and also a few tears, but through it all, Brian was always there in his usual wonderful way. Through my spiritual journey I've carried certain people in my heart who has made such a major impact in my life as well as my son, Matthew Trebing's life, and when I think of BJ, I can't help but to see his wonderful, smiling face looking at me. Now, in the midst of tears, I can't help but feel BJ smiling through it all and I just have to wipe away my tears and smile right back.

BJ made a huge difference in the kingdom of God in the number of youth he brought to Christ through the years. What a legacy and what a wonderful crown this man will have. He is missed. To his family, you have many many people you don't even know sending up prayers and love for you all.
