Carol Sue Beatty, 72, of Muse, died Friday, March 9, 2018, in Washington Hospital.
She was born March 8, 1946, in Washington, a daughter of the late Myron and Ora Hill Hughey.
She was a social member of Houston American Legion Post 902. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching Pittsburgh sports.
Surviving are two daughters, Paula (Gary) Hecht of Canonsburg and Tammy (Albert) McDonald of Muse; six grandchildren, James (Savanna) Tilger of Carnegie, Kayla (Ryan) Colon of Muse, Brittani McDonald of Muse, Kimberly (Joe) Selva of Canonsburg, Chantal (Barry) Cummings of Jacksonville, N.C., and Lisa McDonald (Steve) of Eighty Four; six great-grandchildren, Douglas Tilger, Noah Colon, Katie Gondringer, Mariah Selva, Troy Cumer and Alisha Guta; brother William (Maxine) Hughey of Washington; and sister Barbara Phillips of Burgettstown.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Myron in infancy and Raymond Hughey, and two grandsons, Michael Ray Melnyk and Brandon Cumer.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 and 8 p.m. Monday, March 12, in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Route 50, Cecil, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, with Pastor Gary Chorpenning of Venice Presbyterian Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
