August 16, 1938 - May 12, 2024

Grapevine, Texas - Burl Darwin Gilliam (85) entered into eternal rest surrounded by loved ones on May 12, 2024.

Burl was born on August 16, 1938 to Harrison and Pauline Gilliam in Godley, Texas. He was a University of Texas at Austin graduate and had a long pharmacy career in Grapevine, Texas. He was passionate about restoring Main Street in Grapevine and was President of the Historical Preservation Committee for many years.

Survived by his daughter, Laura Self. His granddaughter, Sierra Gronwaldt (Kevin). Brother, Winston Gilliam. Brother-in-law, Terry LaCrosse (Diana). Nieces, Amy Ferguson and Lola LaCrosse. Nephews, Gary Gilliam, Rusty Gilliam, Ford LaCrosse and Joel Gilliam.

Preceded in death by his wife, Kay Gilliam. Son, Lance Gilliam. Mother and father, Harrison and Pauline Gilliam. Brother, Horace Gilliam.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 25th at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, TX at 10:30am. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 9:30am until the service begins.
