Carlene Street Obituary

Carlene Joy Bradshaw Street, 85, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Joy was born June 22, 1926, in Fort Worth. She was married to Jack Street, her Paschal High sweetheart, for 58 years before he preceded her in death in 2005. He often said that her name should have been included on the TCU degree he earned after serving in World War II. Both were longtime members of Hemphill Presbyterian Church and Colonial Country Club. Joy was later a resident of Trinity Terrace. Survivors: Daughter, Susan Stage and husband, Dan; son, Gary Street and wife, Lori; grandchildren, Sherry Stage Thaxton and husband, James, Pamela Stage Mann and husband, Michael, Ryan Street and wife, Nicole; and great-grandsons, Daniel Mann and Connor Thaxton.

My heart is so full of sweet memories of Aunt Joy and Uncle Jack too. She was the last of the original christmas eve "Rat Pack" that I knew and loved. We will miss her :(
