I met Mr.B at the City of Fort Worth Water Department. I was a young man starting out in the ministry. He always encouraged me and was so full of the Word and Wisdom. I remember most about him that he was always seeking more knowledge and truth. I took my first pastorate while working at the city. I would often seek his wisdom and advise of issues...we had some great talks on that dock outside his office. I will never forget after my first Easter as a pastor that following Monday I was walking to my office and I hear his deep voice out of nowhere say, Well did ya get Him off the cross? Ya know some folks still got Him there...I said yeah I did. He then said, Did ya get Him out the tomb? Some folks got Him there too? I said, yes sir. Then he asked, Well doc did ya get Him back on the throne? Some folk don't know He's there...I said I did...He then said, Well you did all you could do...Let Him do His work.
I had no idea he had passed but I know his reward is great! He is where there is no strife, no conflict, sickness or illness. He fellowships with Christ and all those who have gone before us. God Bless you Mr. B...I love you my brother; my friend.

Mr. B never meet a stranger nor did he ever meet anyone in need that he didn't help. Diane I know this is hard for you and the family right now but just ask God and he will give you comfort and his peace during your time of sorrow. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7. I know Burleson is up in heaven talking the Lord's ear off. In the sad times when you are missing him the most try to remember the good times and the jokes Burleson was always telling. We will truly miss our Pastor and friend. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning; You and the family will always be in our prayers.
