I will always carry the lessons I learned from sergeant Sarver with me, and have in the past, and will in the future rely his example as a man, and police supervisor.
He truly is one of my heros.

Pat and Charlie Sarver were two of the best friends anyone could ask for. They were my neighbors in Hurst we shared all of our happy occasions as well as our sad occasions. We loved each other as well as shared love for all the dogs. I had the pleasure of having their Grandson Jamie work for me during his stay in Texas. The Sarver family is one of the most caring, loving families I have ever known. We all laughed our way through a wonderful friendship and I will miss them both more than I can say. They are both in Gods hand now and the remaining Sarver family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Charlie repaired my fence while Pat and I sat and watched with drink in hand, that is just to name one of the many times the Sarvers came to my rescue. Pat and I were major Dallas Cowboy fans and we never missed a game. Pat joined me with my daughter Joanna last year to a game at the stadium. We tailgated and had a wonderful time in spite of the heat. I hope to remain close to Chris,Jim and the rest of the family. I was truly blessed with a wonderful friendship with the Sarvers.

Dear Family of Pat & Charlie: My name is Pat (Neilsen) Goda. Pat was my best friend in the last two years of high school, and I was an attendant in your parents' wedding. I still have the picture. I was stunned by the news of the passing of Pat and Charlie. I tried for years to find them, but the last address that I had was Hurst, TX, and since then all correspondence has been returned.I did meet you several times, Chris, when you were a very little girl. I also saw your Grandmother, Pat's mother, in the early 1990's while on a visit to our old Akron neighborhood. I am so very sorry. Please accept my deepest regrets and condolences. I will always remember them. Sincerely, Pat Goda [email protected]

To the family of Charlie, our thoughts and prayers go out to you during this time of sorrow and loss.
We didn't know Charlie real well, but the times we did have a chance to talk, he was always so friendly and seemed to be such a wonderful person.
I'll never forget the day he saw me struggleing to cut down a tree in my yard, and he stopped his work and came to my aid. I don't think I could have done it without him, but together, we succeded, and I was so very grateful.
We feel blessed to have know Charlie and Pat, if only as neighbors.
He always amazed us by the way he worked so hard in his yard and took such pride in the way it looked.
We will miss our neighbor, but we know he is in God's loving care now, and is again with Pat.
Please let us know if there is anything at all we can do.
May God's blessing be with you and in your hearts now and in the days to come.

It touched my heart to see this entry of such and gentle spirit. I came to know Mr. Sarver through the retirement process of Tarrant County when he retired, returned and then felt he had to retire again in the best interest of family.
