Chester Gentry was born Dec. 10, 1923, in Fort Worth, to the late E.C. and Nona Gentry. He graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1941, and served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. A life-long resident of Fort Worth, Chester worked 50 years in the transportation industry with Greyhound Bus Line, Texas Motor Coaches and Kerrville Bus Company.
Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Imogene Gentry of Fort Worth; sons, Mike Gentry and wife, Sherry, of Plano and Dennis Gentry and wife, Linda, of Prosper; sisters, LaVerne Edwards and Frances Frazier of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Trent, Casey and Courtney Gentry, and Jeff Harrison and wife, Janna; great-grandchildren, Melanie, Rebecca, Kevin, and Dylan.

Mom, the memorial service was the best. Dad would have loved it. I am sure he did. The service at the cemetary was also very special and represented the grace and dignity with which Dad lived his life. We loved him and are missing him very much.
