Clarence Marion Humphries III, 62, passed from this life Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at home surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Pastor Patrick Turner officiating. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Clarence was born April 16, 1949, in Fort Worth where he resided his entire life. He retired from BNSF Railway in 2009 after 41 years of faithful service. He was fondly referred to as "Hump" by all his co-workers and was well liked and respected by all. Clarence was a kind and giving man and his spirited stories entertained many. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 20 years, Jeanne Carole; parents, C.M. Jr. and Helen Humphries; brother, Billy Jack; sister, Linda; and an infant brother. Survivors: Son, Chris Michael Humphries and wife, Loretta; granddaughter, Courtney; grandsons, Raylee, Dusty and Jarrett; sister, Sue Waters and husband, Scotty; aunts and uncles, Muriel and Aline Goebel, "Sonny" and Betty McKinney; much-loved sister-in-law, Diane Clark; special friends and caregivers, Beverly Godbey and Sandy Michael; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Molley, Saxie and Jazzie.
