We are so sorry to hear of Danny's passing. We had the pleasure to get to know him when we taught his Sunday School class his senior year at Compass Christian Church. What a wonderful young man he was. He brought light to everyone he met. In these difficult days, may you be comforted by sweet memories you shared together. He was called home much too soon.

Coach Mike and Alane - Chandler and I were truly saddened to hear about your loss. We have very happy baseball memories of Danny and can only imagine the grief you are feeling. We were out of town when we heard the news and were sorry to miss his celebration of life. Please know we are thinking of you.

I went to high school with Danny. Although I didn't know him very well, learning about his death really upset me. I could tell he was such a nice and sweet person just from the few conversations we had.
I am praying for your whole family at this time. Rest in peace Danny - you are in a better place now.

I spent some time on Danny's FB page today. I remember him as a 9-year old boy playing basketball and baseball. Danny, Dylan and a few others signed up for basketball late one winter. Mike generously agreed to coach so the boys could play. I'm pretty sure we were the worst team in the league but Danny's happy, happy attitude about life ensured everyone (players and parents alike) had the best time. Looking at his FB page, I see he never changed. He inherited his Mom's contagious smile and it is clear he made everyone around him feel like they were his best friend.

Mike and Alane,
We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Danny. Cade played baseball with Danny on the team you coached and is friends with him on Facebook, and told us the sad news. Danny is a great young man and we observed what a good hearted kid he was by the way he treated all of his teammates. He made baseball fun in the dugout and on the field, and was one of Cades best friends on the team. Danny will be greatly missed by all who knew him and he will always be remembered for the great example of kindness and compassion he demonstrated. May God hold Danny in his loving arms until you again can hold him in yours. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Danny's caring heart and charming personality led him to befriend new people on a daily basis. He touched so many people's lives, and I am so fortunate to be one of those people. I will never forget the times we shared. Danny's smile, laughter, and positivity brought so much joy into this world. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. My prayers and deepest sympathies are with your family during this time of sorrow. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4

Mr and Mrs McClendon.
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Danny was such an inspiring person and always knew how to make everyone around him laugh and feel welcome. Knowing danny for almost 3 years is a wonderful friendship I will cherish. He was one of my first friends my freshmen year of UNT. While both being in UNT serves he was always so happy and put effort into everything. He always knew how to put a smile on someone's face and truly made everyone on his life so happy. Walking around campus with him was fun but he always knew everyone and I would become jealous because he knew so many people and that is awesome. Your son changed so many lives, and I greatly appreciate you for allowing him to be who he is. Danny will be missed and your family will continue to be prayed for. I pray your hearts are at ease this week and through this time of hurt.
Love, A

I met Danny when he was about 5 yrs of age. He would come with his mom on the weekend to help with his favorite job being the copy machine. Even at that your age and throughout time he continued to be helpful, funny, and rarely saw him without a smile. Heaven has gained a very good man while we have lost one. Fly high among the angels and keep watch over your mom and dad.

Mr. And Mrs. McClendon.
I just want you to know how amazing your son is. He was always so happy and even when I was sad he could always make me happy. He was one of the very first people I met my freshman year. We met on our floor during Serves and from then on just grew into a great friendship. He would include me in everything and always made me feel welcome. I was always so jealous walking through campus with him because it seemed he knew everyone and that is amazing that he touched so many people's lives.
You're son will always be in my heart, and I cannot thank him enough for the memories he has given me. Know that he was loved by many people and he will truly be missed. I'll miss late night sonic and whataburger runs and not to mention the "yummy" cafeteria food at UNT! Thank you for allowing your son to be amazing you raised him well and even though his life was short he did wonderful things at UNT, in his fraternity, and of course pouring love and laughter into his friends. I appreciate and will cherish every moment with him. May he rest in peace, and prayers for you both and your family, may your hearts be at peace and rest through this difficult time.
Love alexandra.

Alane and Mike,
There are no words that I can say that would give you comfort so we pray that our Father in heaven will give you the strength you need to get through this. We love Danny and will always cherish the memories we have. There was nothing more fun than watching the boys play baseball. I am so grateful that Cutter was Danny's friend I always knew when they were together I could rest because Danny was such a good kid and never got into any trouble. Danny was the most respectful caring individual that I have ever met and that is a true reflection upon you Mike and Alane. You instilled in Danny the values he lived by, I praise you for that. Thank you for sharing your son with us we will truly miss him here on earth but I know that I know he is with Jesus in Heaven. May God Bless you and all that loves your beautiful son, Danny.

Danny was in one of the last group of gifted and talented kids in 7th grade Texas Discoveries that I taught at Heritage Middle School before I retired. I'll always remember his sweet spirit, his zest for life and a good joke and his creative mind. Praying God's comfort and blessings on your family.

Mr and Mrs McClendon,
Daniel is one of my employees at El Chico. He is such an amazing young man, kind, patient, funny, smart and extremely respectful. He is an employee that all managers dream for! During the stressful moments of a shift, we could always count on him, for help, for laughs to get through a crazy moment and of course, a crazy song he would sing to get stuck in all of our heads! We are truly blessed to have him as member of our El Chico family! Our hearts are broken, but we will forever be blessed by being a part of his life! Sing on Daniel in paradise! We love you!

Alane,
My son, Matthew, went to school with Danny at HMS and CHHS. Danny was the first student Matthew met after we moved to Grapevine from New Mexico. We were in line for football equipment and we struck up a conversation. He was such a nice young man and seemed very happy and genuine. On occasion, I would give him rides home from HMS when I picked up Matthew. He was always so polite and appreciative. You raised a fine young man, whom it seems everyone enjoyed being around.
Danny's passing was so sudden and surprising, and I cannot imagine the pain of losing your son. Please know I am so very sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May you be comforted this week by the memories of those who knew and loved Danny. May God give you and your family peace and comfort in the days, weeks and months to come.

Mike and Alane, my heart hurts for you. But know this...Danny was one of the best young men I've ever had the pleasure to know. When he and Colby played ball when they were little he was always so polite and happy. He was an amazing young man! I know without a doubt he is in heaven. Even thought nothing anyone can say or do will help the hurt, just know my family loves you and will be praying for you.

He was more than just my friend, he was my big brother at UNT. I could call him at any time day or night and he would be there. I could confide in him about anything. I could bounce any idea off of him and he would say "Let's do it!" He would have done and did so anything to make me smile. I will never be able to fully express how much you mean to me, Danny. Thank you for teaching me how to be the life of the party, the big dreamer, the voice of hope, and a friend to everyone I meet. UNT won't be the same without you, I won't be the same without you.
