Darlene Rees Obituary

Darlene Rees, 88, passed away Monday, Aug. 31, 2015. Service: 10 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane A. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home. Darlene was born May 3, 1927, in Forestburg. She loved to cheer on the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys with her many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Rees, and a daughter, Diane Olsen. Survivors: Daughters, Donna D. Rees and Karen Myers and husband, Pete; sons, Mike Penton and wife, Kathy, and Steve Penton and wife, Nancy; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

DeDe, I don't have to tell u what Mom meant to Sonny and me. I can see them both right now, can't u? My heart aches for u sweetie and no words can describe what I feel for u and Mom at this moment. RIP Mom, love u so very much. For u DeDe and siblings, God be with each of u thru this grieving process. DeDe, I am here anytime. Love u, jb
