Darrin McCown Obituary
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Calvary Lutheran Church. Interment: Chapel Hill Cemetery, Waco. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Davis Chapel.
Darrin was born Sept. 7, 1968, in North Richland Hills. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding motorcycles and repairing vehicles.
Darrin will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors: Parents, Bobby and LaNelle McCown; brother, Darnell McCown and wife, Dee; sister, Diana Boerner and husband, Curtis; grandmother, Irene Dreyer; nieces and nephews, Caitlin, Connor and Kyle McCown; longtime girlfriend, Danette Collins and children, Kimberly, Sandra and Chasity.

I am going to miss Darrin like no other. He was more than just a friend to me for many years. I don't have the words to express this loss. Darrin was the kindest person I ever knew. there is nothing that will ever replace the hole in this world and my heart that has been left. I proudly say I loved Darrin like he was a part of my own family. things will never be the same without him.

Darrin's family,
I worked with Darrin at GameStop. I was so sad when found another job and tried to talk him out of it. He was the type of person that brighten the room with his smile (and dimples) as he entered. I always looked forward to talking to him, for he made everything seem like it wasn't such a big deal after all. I had such an appreciation for his simple outlook on life. I had so much to learn from him and always felt better after our conversations. He'd bear the weight of the world for you if he could. His heart was as pure as gold. He was a fantastic guy and is greatly missed. I'm praying for God to comfort you (and all of those who love Darrin) with His peace as only He can. The Lord bless you, keep you and be gracious to you.

First of all my condolence and prayer goes out to the McCown family and friends, but I also want to add that I knew Darrin back in High School. He was very quiet, but you just had to get to know him. He was soooo sweet and I do remember him helping me with alot with my vehicle, he never hesitated to help a friend, he was a good man. Take care.
