Weatherford , Texas - David Hunt passed away after a six year battle with colon cancer. Services will be held at a later date next year. David was a Fort Worth Police officer in 1978 and received the police medal for valor in 1980. David continued his community service by remaining a Tarrant Co. Sheriff til 2013.He worked for Koslows, Neiman Marcus, and then started David Hunt Furs Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas. It is now owned and operated by his son Andrew Hunt. He is survived by his wife of 36 years,Teresa Hunt their daughter Lauren Hunt Brogdon, who is married to Blake Brogdon and daughter Ashley. son, Andrew David Hunt married to Madeline Fiker Hunt. David's father Don Hunt and sister Suzi Gamez.

What a wonderful person he was.
He was a friend of my brotherLeonard and our family. He was a very dedicated Officer and was considered one of Fort Worth´s Best Police Officers. I know that he´s resting in the arms of Jesus and I will keep his loving family in my Prayers. RIP my Dear Friend.
