Dr. Brodie was a kind and understanding man and very observant. He diagnosed my medical problem and gained my respect and gratitude. Any time I was at Walson Army Hospital, I tried to stop in and say hello. A good soul has gone to join the celestial symphony and will be sorely missed.

Just found out Don passed away. I first met Don at Summer Trios about 15 years ago at Wilson College in Pa. He was a kind and gentle man with a great passion for music and for collecting fine cellos and bows. He used to kid me that adoption papers were on the way as he had appointed himself my cello Dad. We will always miss you Don, especially at Summertrios. I will be thinking of you when we rehearse Bach´s Chaconne in our cello choir today.

Don was an angel and a wonderful cellist. He played with us in the Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra and always had a kind word and a helping hand to offer. RIP, Don.

I played with Don at the chamber music program at Settlement Music School for many years and at Bravura Philharmonic for 2 years and he was one of the kindest and most uplifting person I've ever known. He will be greatly missed at Settlement when we return to playing again.

To Don's family:
What a loss! I was just thinking of Don a few days ago. We (my wife Linda Griffith, MD) met Don when we were all were active duty in Germany, Don at Landstuhl, we at Ramstein. I play piano and Don and I worked on several Brahms and Beethoven cello sonatas, among other pieces. Also, traveled a little--Luxembourg, France, etc with him. I took up cello about 12 years ago and during a visit to his house in Yardley, he was very encouraging of my terrible playing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. With heavy hearts, but wonderful memories, Scott Kellogg, D.O.
