My Dearest Dylan there aren't words to describe the loss of you in my life. Nor could mere words seek to explain the purpose behind your life and the role you played in the lives of all you have touched.I will forever miss my confidant, my friend. The void left in all our lives at the loss of you can never be completely filled again. Hopefully through your kind and loving nature you have inspired others to imitate the belief in good that you had.You will endure in the hearts and memories of all that have loved you, through stories and memories.I Love You I Miss You

Don't think of him as gone away- his journey's just begun, life holds so many facets- this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living, in the hearts of those he thouched... for nothing loved is ever lost- and he was loved so much. ~E.Brenneman~ We love you Dyl- Mama, Mike, & Rachel

2/8/2010

Dear Dylan it has been one year today since you were taken away. I just talked to your Mother and made her more sad than she already was. I put some very beauitful flowers in your vase for Xmas , I did not know that this could happen- or I wouldn't have use the cloth kind. We had bad storms with lots of rain and wind. The flowers blew over and where they touched your stone, it left a red mark. Uncle Terry and the stone people worked and got most of the red out. It is not noticeable, unless you are looking for it. I am so sorry, but I guess I put my mark where it should not have been.
Soon I will not be able to write you on this guest book.I will continue to write you each week in my book. But I wanted to tell you what I had done too. I felt so bad about it. It wasn't my intentions to bring harm to it or to others. Love you my Dylan and can't wait to see you again. Granny

Nature

As a fond mother, when the day is o'er,
Leads by the hand her little child to bed,
Half willing, half reluctant to be led,
And leave his broken playthings on the floor,
Still gazing at them through the open door,
Nor wholly reassured and comforted
By promises of others in their stead,
Which, though more splendid, may not please him more;
So Nature deals with us, and takes away
Our playthings one by one, and by the hand
Leads us to rest so gently, that we go
Scarce knowing if we wish to go or stay,
Being too full of sleep to understand
How far the unknown transcends the what we know.

It's been almost a year since you left us. I am sad that I only knew you as a little boy. I remember watching you with your father and remembering how much fun I used to have with my uncles when I was your age. Tyler found a special connection with you and Aunt Sissy was especially heart-broken. When I look back at the photos of all of us at the flower park in Texas, I remember feeling so happy, even though we had just lost Grandmommy. You had such an amazing sense of adventure and it was inspiring to see your father cultivate that. Granddaddy left us in October 'o9. I hope they are taking care of you now. You were an inspiring boy and you are terribly missed. Love you sweetheart.

Dylan you are thought of every day---But today is PaPa's 71st. B/Day and the first thought of the day of his was so sad---Dylan want be calling me today & it hurts to think he was always the first one to call & wish me a Happy Birthday PaPa, so we went out & watered your flowers & visited you today. You are a STAR in our life & we have learned to love everyone more because you loved everyone. You proved it by being a doer and thinking of others you might bring some joy too. You did that for us. Thought of you on your B/day, but didn't write to you then, so hard for us to say Happy 17th. B/Day to you. But wrote on PaPa's for I know you would like that. Bye for now Sweetheart. our love FOREVER your Papa and Granny

Hey Rhonda I finally got a chance to come check the book out. I want you to know that I am always praying for you and the whole family and don't hesitate to ask if you need anything. You know I'm always here if you need anything as well as the rest of the girls at the wash. Dylan was a great kid and let all the accompishments he made and the good things he did be what you remember always and know that he is watching over us and he doesnt want you, Mike, Racheal, or anyone else to be sad. Love ya.

It's been so difficult for me to get my hands around how much I miss you, Dylan. Gone from us a month now I keep hoping you'll walk through our door at any moment with that gorgeous smile and handsome face. I miss the way you lit up a room simply by your presence. Seeing you again will be something I look forward to from now on and although the emptiness felt by your absence is signifcant, I am comforted by the memories you've given me. Love you always and forever, my beatiful baby boy.

i miss him so much. he was not only the best cousin in the world but my best friend who i shared everything with. someone i grew to love and expect to be there. it is the hardest reality to realize that he is gone forever. I remember when we use to hurry up and finish lunch so we could go play outside and go swimming. We would fight over all the little things and then laugh. Ive never been so close to anyone as i was to him. I love you Dylan. & I miss you more than anyone will ever know.

I am a close friend of Dylan's sister Rachel. I have not seen Dylan for 3 1/2 years but the first thing that came to my mind when I heard about his passing was his SMILE and the sound of his sweet voice. I can't believe that this has happened and my heart is breaking for his family. I know he will be GREATLY missed. Rachel and Rhonda I love you both and I wish that I could take your pain away. I will be praying for you both. And again I am so very sorry!

Dylan, I always remember how you were always happy to greet me and excited to spend time with me and your Dad. I have fond memories of clowning around, jumping on the beds in the hotel room in Fort worth and being silly at the museum. I wish I could have gotten to know you better and will miss not ever having the opportunity to know you as a full grown man, as im sure you would have accelerated the greatness you already achieved while here on earth. You will be greatly missed! We love you!

February 13, 2009

Dylan, I was there the day you were born. We could not get enough looking at you through that window at the hospital. Rachel and I went and brought your going home clothes. We were there taking video pictures of you getting into the car, ofcourse with some help. We have spent many days together, they were always a joy to me-for it was like getting a second chance to have my children with me again. We had many talks up into the early morning hours. You called me every week since you had a cell phone to just sat HELLO and how are you - Granny, always ended in saying tell Papa hello.
You always knew who was the BOSS and that I loved you so much--no matter what ever would happen. That love will still be there and I'll always be here for you. MY love to a wonderful, thoughful, loving Grandson. Such great meomeries we have together . I'll keep praying your prayers for all your parents. Your Granny and Papa

I may have never known you personally, and we never really talked, but I'll miss you. You were an awsome singer, awsome person, and an awsome friend. You will always be remembered in all of our hearts. We all miss you in your time of absence. We don't understand why our classmate and friend is gone. But we do know that you are at peace now. As is says in the Bible, "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace." I guess it's our time to let go of you for now, but someday, we'll see you again. May you be in eternal rest and happiness with our Heavenly Father.

I never really got the chance to know Dylan. I'd see him around at school, and from what I heard, he seemed like an amazing kid. It really saddens me to think such a beautiful, happy person had to have his life cut so short. I know I didn't really know him, but it seems like I miss him.
To all his friends and family:
I'm sorry for the loss of a great guy who seemed to make everyone's day 10 times better. Something good always comes out of something bad, even if it takes time to realize it. Dylan's in a wonderful place, where no harm can come to him, and every trouble that came his way, is now taken away and thats something we should be thankful for.
You're in my prayers.

I keep hoping i will wake up from this bad dream and you will call or knock on the door with that wonderful perfect smile and brighten up my day! You were always good at making me laugh! I'm so upset that our time together was so short lived but i will always cherish the short time we had together. Thank you for starting to build a friendship with me and trying to get closer. I will forever care about you and miss you and i will never forget the memory of you. Your smile will always come to mind when i need to be cheered up. I hope you are in a better place and are having the time of your life. I'm forever thinking of you! I love you Dylan! May God Bless you! P.S...... Thank you for the hug you gave me before we parted! Dylan was a friend that I loved dearly, and always will. He cared so much for the people around him and expected little in return. He was the kind of person you couldn't help but love being around. He showed me what it meant to be a real friend and how to see the good in others and to give people a chance to show you who they really are. Because of this lesson, I will thank him always. His friendship meant so much to me and I am blessed to have so many wonderful memories of him. He will be forever missed.

I was very saddened to read of the loss of your son. You do not know me but I am somewhat familiar with your pain as I once lost a son. It makes no sense to us that we should ever lose our children. We do not "get through their loss" yet we must endure and adjust our lives to it...sadly, this is how grief works and the level of our grief is equal to the level of our love. We only have two choices with a loss such as yours...Despair or God...the first will bring only hopelessness, pain, guilt and constant sorrow and regret, the latter brings hope, forgiveness and redemption. Please know that our children do not die...they live as Christ so promises the renewing of our spirits. I pray the our Holy Father will send his angels to comfort you and your family in this great time of need. You have my deepest condolences.

Dylan was an amazing friend, and an inspiration to all. Being in choir with him was a joy, and he taught me that life shouldn't be lived for anyone else, but for yourself. He will be missed by all. I know that God is with Dylan, and that he is with your family in this time of need. Love you Dylan.

Dylan was truly and inspiration to me, And he will be missed dearly. He taught me more than he will ever know, and I know that God is with his family in this time of need, just as I know that Dylan is with God
