Margaret Ann Eldridge

Margaret Ann Eldridge, age 83, passed away on January 27, 2026 at her residence in Bedford, TX after a long battle with cancer. She was born on May 5, 1942 in Sherman, TX, daughter of the late James Price McCoy and Mary Ola Bird McCoy.

Margaret attended Sherman High School and graduated in 1960. The following summer she married her high school sweetheart, the late Larry Lee Eldridge, and the two headed to Austin, TX to join the burnt-orange Longhorn Nation. Margaret and Larry left Austin in 1967, moving to the DFW metroplex area, where they spent several decades growing their family.

Margaret was proud of her long-term employment with the NCH Corporation that lasted approximately 40 years before her retirement at the age of 71. She truly considered many of her colleagues to be family.

Margaret's circle of friends extended well beyond the workplace: from the softball fields of Southwest Park, the streets of Standish & Alden in Irving, TX, and the Mahjong circle of Bedford Parc, she loved them all!

Margaret is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth Stovall and Drew Stovall; son and daughter-in-law, Creighton Eldridge and Andrea Eldridge; grandchildren, Jessica Vickers and Seth (spouse); Britton Stovall and Lyanna (spouse); Liam Eldridge and Celia Eldridge; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Vickers, Arabella "Birdie" Vickers, and Wyndham Vickers; granddogs, Jenny and Amity; great granddogs, Dolly and Patches.

Visitation for family and friends from 4:00 PM till 6:00 PM, Sunday, February 1, 2026 in the chapel of Colonial Funeral Home of Irving, 606 W. Airport Freeway, Irving, TX.
