Susana Morin Olvera

Susana Morin Olvera, born October 1, 1944, in Benavides, Texas, passed away January 25, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Susana was known for her warm hospitality, her love of cooking, and the joy she found in family gatherings.

Susana grew up in Benavides and carried the values of family and community throughout her life. She delighted in simple pleasures:

playing games with her friends, children, and grandchildren, preparing meals that brought everyone together, and cheering on the

Dallas Cowboys with infectious enthusiasm. Her home was a place of laughter, comfort, and welcome for relatives and friends alike.

She is survived by her children E. Alex Olvera and his wife Meredith; Angel Olvera and his wife Dana; and Elsa Abdelmessiah and her

spouse George; grandchildren Sydney Olvera, Thomas Olvera, and Jacob Olvera; brother Amado Morin, Jr. of Corpus Christi; and sisters

Ninfa Hernandez and Lilly Brady of Benavides, and Gloria Rivera of San Antonio. Her family remembers her as a steady presence whose

love and generosity shaped their lives.

Susana was preceded in death by her husband Angel G. Olvera of Irving; her parents Amado Morin and Rafala Morin of Benavides; sister

Ester Rocha of Hebbronville; sister Norma Baez of Benavides; and brother Roel Morin of Corpus Christi.
