Edelmira Michel Espino FORT WORTH--Edelmira Michel Espino was called to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 4, 2018. SERVICE: 10 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church. Funeral procession and interment right after at Greenwood Memorial Park. Viewing and Rosary: 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Carrillo Funeral Home with a rosary at 6 p.m. Edelmira was born Aug. 16, 1945, in Rancho San Jose just outside Santa Maria del Oro, Durango (Mexico). She came to Fort Worth in 1972 and for 46 years loved this city and the North Side community. A woman of faith, she was a eucharistic and lay minister at All Saints Catholic Church (ASCC). She raised her children with humility and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She had a magnetic personality and spent many hours at the Northside Community Center for Seniors, at ASCC and consoling others in their times of need. Edelmira was known for dancing and wearing colorful hats as well as for her political activism for which she received an award by the United Hispanic Council. Edelmira was the daughter of Enrique Michel and Zenaida Ortiz who both preceded her in death along with her siblings, Adrian, Elena, Ernesto, Enrique and Lupe Michel, SURVIVORS: She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Victor Manuel Espino; her brother, Abelardo Michel; her children, Salvador "Sal" Manuel (Tony), Victor (Freddie); daughter, Kathy; her daughters-in-law and son-in-law, Elizabeth, Susana, Irene and Moises, respectively. She also loved her 11 grandchildren dearly: Salvador Jr., Robert, Victor Jr., Marissa, Luis, Julian, Alyssa, Cesar, Jessica, Daniel, and Moises Jr. Her terrestrial presence will be sorely missed.
