Ed was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Dec. 13, 1926. He married Beverly Ann Swaim on Sept. 25, 1946, in Chesterfield, S.C. Ed was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Edward Garcia, and a brother, Vincent Garcia Jr.
Survivors: Wife, Beverly Garcia of Mansfield; daughters, Sharon Marshall and husband, Roger, of King Ferry, N.Y., and Donna Reeder of Richardson; grandchildren, Shannon Marshall Orr and husband, Scott, Kellie Kampion, Joseph Marshall, Amy Garcia Brow and husband, Jim, Matthew Kampion and Kristofer Garcia and wife, Paula; great-grandchildren, Katey and Kyle; and sister, Gloria Cook of Asheville, N.C.
