I knew Elizabeth from medical school in Miami from 1988-1990 and from her residency at Duke in the early 1990's. I always admired her gentle spirit, sharp intelligence and nurturing, kind ways. She was the type of person that you would want to have as your doctor, and as your friend. My life is enriched by having known her.

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Elizabeth's family. I only knew her briefly (we had 1 class together at TCU) but she left an impression on me that I will never forget. I knew she would go on to do great things. Unfortunately, after that one class, our paths never crossed again and I am all the poorer for that.

Elizabeth,

Lynn just read your obituary in the TCU Alumni magazine. Lives at times seem so busy. I remember you as a bright and exceptional medical technologist all those years ago at Harris Hospital, and a friend. Blessedly, you were able to use your life to benefit others. Occasionally, Gaye Reed would share your joys and pain. We are happy that pain is past forever. You befriended and served so many, and we are better for having known you. May you rest in peace.

God Bless You,
Earl and Lynn Freeman

Elizabeth was a friend for over 14 years and I will miss that friendship very much. We met when she lived in San Diego and had kept in contact throughout the years. She introduced me to the beauty of the Carolinas, the Everglades and Fort Worth. I will remember her love of hills covered with yellow mustard and her delight in spotting a small red colored bird high in the trees. She was a person who went into medicine to help others and she had worked hard to become an excellent physician. My deepest sympathies to her sister Patricia and family.

Dr. Bearer will be greatly missed in Texas. She was a great Doctor and a wonderful resource. She just might have known a little about every topic. She never passed up an opportunity to teach us (nurses) something new. I am sure that your heart aches now, but I will always remember her kindness. God be with you and bless you in your time of need!

Betty's compassionate ways were so inspirational and she left such good memories with all who knew her. She had an amazing life and also touched the lives of countless numbers of people worldwide. It's not often that God sends someone to earth that has the kind of impact Betty had, and she will be missed.

May God bless you and your loved ones during this time of grief. Dr. Elizabeth, although I did not know you personally, your dear sister Patricia means the world to me. And I know that Heaven will be considerably brighter having you there.

Elizabeth's gentle sense of humor and insight will be missed. We worked at Harris Hospital and Nuclear Medical Laboratories together years ago. She was bright, dedidicated, and intent on doing excellent work. We have lost a neat person in Eliabeth.

Knew Elizabeth when she was a very young girl. People like her will always be remembered and missed - regardless of the time that has passed since we were together.

Words are not enough to express the deep pain and sorrow I feel over the death of my sister. I grieve not for her death, because she suffered so greatly at the end, I grieve for the loss of such an incredible person, whose loss is not just personal, but a loss for the world, for she was one of those incredible people who left this world a better place than she found it.
