Ernest John Cusseaux

August 9, 1944 - October 23, 2024

Hurst, Texas - Ernest John Cusseaux, born August 9, 1944 passed away October 23, 2024 at age 80. He was born in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and resided in California where he graduated from Stanislaus State College and later Sonoma State College. He begun his career at Port Chicago and later worked for Napa County Juvenile Hall. After moving to Hurst, Texas where he resided for 29 years, he worked for First Hurst and the Bedford Police Department. He was a father to the fatherless and a friend to all. He leaves his beloved Rozita Sterling, his children Gwen Jackson, Treasa, Gail, and Sumayyah Cusseaux, Shanora Rouse (Ray), and April Mayhan (Larry), his siblings Carlos (Shirley), Albert (Maria), Howard (Missy), Debra, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews that adored him. He was preceded in death by his mother Estelle Labat, father David Cusseaux, siblings David, Curtis, Jean, and his daughter Talitha Hurts.
