Evelyn Straubmueller Obituary
Graveside service: 4 p.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Evelyn Stephanie Marie Whitten Straubmueller was born on Dec. 12, 1915. She was born and raised in Dallas. Evelyn married Werner "Bobby" Straubmueller on Aug. 24, 1923. After marrying, she moved to Fort Worth to raise her family.
Evelyn was a charter member of the Greater Richland Hills Methodist Church. Evelyn was president of Birdville High School PTA and president of Richland Hills Garden Club. She was employed as a real estate agent manager at Chelsea Edwards Real Estate. Later she became manager and director of Louinda Dance Co. in Hurst.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her father, Mort Van Don Whitten; her mother, Laudorah Green Whitten; brother, Lewis Kirk Whitten; and her husband, Werner Straubmueller, in 1969.
Survivors: Son, James Morton Straubmueller and wife, Annette; daughter, Louinda Straubmueller Anz and husband, Allen; grandchildren, Douglas Straubmueller, Staci Straubmueller Caravalla and husband, Michael, Dow Straubmueller and wife, Beth, Brett Anz and wife, Antoinette, Kyle Anz and wife, Kelly, Doug Vandever and wife, Gena, Steve Vandever and Julie Smith; and her beloved 14 great-grandchildren.
