I was going through some boxes just now and I ran across some old pictures of us as kids. Amigo I had fun playing basketball in the backyard, riding our bikes around "the hood" and just being boys, those memories are burned into my mind. You were a good person and I am sure you are a great angel now. I just wanted to acknowledge you today. Thanks for being a friend.

I will never forget all the good times we had together working at Cabelas. I stopped in there yesterday, February 23, 2012... and I was informed of the news. It has been two years since he left us, I didn't even know about it! Fernie will be missed! I am a better person having known him. My sadness is beyond words.

i knew fernando from working at cabela's together. i quit working there in 2007 and we lost touch. today i heard of his passing for the first time. we had not kept in touch with each other but i could never forget him. he was the best co-worker and friend. we always had great conversations and many laughs. he loved his dog and family so much. when i heard this horribly sad news today i was in shock and my heart went out to his family. god bless you fernando and may all the memories bring comfort to your family! you are such a beautiful person inside and out and you are missed dearly. how fortunate i am to have known you. you touched my life as well as many others. thank you for all the fond memories!!!!

My wife and I did not know Fernando all that well but our son and daughter who worked and shared outside activities with him did. They thought the world of him and considered him a good friend. He was always invited out for the lake parties and was always a very polite, well mannered gentleman. We always enjoyed he and Justin sitting out on the deck playing, singing and goofing around. He was such a nice young man to have as a guest and was always welcome in our home. We will sorely miss seeing Fernando out at the house, Cabelas and ball games. He was obviously a product of good raising. He and his family are in our prayers.

I still cannot believe this is real!! When I heard the news, I just thought it was a horrible joke. I cannot believe you're gone. I know I haven't been up to see any of you in a while..
