Catherine, et al:
Was unaware of Forrest's passing until I accidentally "googled" him today. Rest assured you all and he will be in my prayers.
WOW, memories come flooding back, Aunt Edna & Uncle Tom's home in Houston, the Weimaraner that someone else spoke of, seeing him passing through to and from the Deer Lease, always being a bit in awe of him as a result of his stature and carriage.
Going through some old pictures I recently found one of him beside a Cord that I assumed was his.
I always saw him as slightly "bigger than life." If y'all get the chance, would love to visit and catch up.
Peace and grace,
Chet

Sarah, Carol and Mrs. Borgstedt,
I have such fond memories of growing up on Academy Drive. Even though we moved when I was in the 6th grade, Academy is where I have all the great memories. I remember hours of playing Jacks with Sarah on your front porch next to the big wicker chairs, going with you all to Carswell once when you went to shop as well as many late summer nights with all the kids playing and parents out visiting.
I cherish those times and wanted to offer my condolences to you all. My Mom had eye surgery on Tuesday and was really sorry that they couldn't be at the service. Our prayers are with you all.

Well there's a whole lot flooding back to me about my memories of your dad. He was one of my finest car mentors for sure. i think i can remember them all. Then there were the dogs, the one I really knew, Rufus, that stunning red setter. I don't think your mother ever forgave me...and how little I was when I was afraid of the weimaraner.
I've been remembering wonderful things today about your dad Sarah.
The compass he gave me years ago has been, where I've been all my life, something I will always cherish.

What a great man and good neighbor. We'll miss him. Never forget him climbing around in the big tree out front, just a few years ago. Our prayers are with you all.
