Frances McMurtrey Obituary

Frances Louise McMurtrey HURST--Frances Louise McMurtrey, 93, passed away Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, in Keller. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, in Whites Chapel Cemetery, Southlake. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Louise, "Granny" to many, was born on March 23, 1924 in Grapevine. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. Louise was active in the church until her later years but was still a member of Bellevue Baptist in Hurst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. McMurtrey, and son, Barry L. McMurtrey. SURVIVORS: Louise is survived by her daughters, Beverly Martin and husband, Danny, Sherry McMurtrey, Lindy Nelson and husband, David, and Cindy Compton and husband, Randy; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.
